THE CLIENT

Minetan Body Skin is an Australian brand specialising in high quality tanning and skin care products in both the retail and professional beauty salon industries.

THE PROJECT

The Bronze Babe Home Spray Tan Kit essentially allows the customer to spray tan themselves or friends and family at home, allowing them to achieve a salon quality tan finish in the comfort of their own home. A refreshed landing page was needed to take the audience on a journey that educated them on how to effectively use the product, displayed results and thoroughly explained what was included in the kit.

TARGETING ISSUES IN THE ORIGINAL DESIGN

Mine aimed to create a straightforward user journey that would enlighten customers about the Bronze Babe Home Spray Tan Kit - both its nature and its effective use for optimal tanning outcomes. The design would need to prioritize content on the page, offering segments on product details, usage guidance, customer testimonials, and before-and-after result imagery. Given that fake tanning products don't deliver immediate results and need hours to develop on the skin, providing comprehensive information on application and expected outcomes would be crucial to influencing a customer's decision to purchase.

VISUAL RESEARCH

When researching competitor beauty brands, the trending colour schemes at the time mainly consisted of a millennial pink that would effectively compliment the product as the Bronze Babe was available in both black and pink. From these findings we decided to move forward with an aesthetically minimal design approach. The design prominently features the millennial pink hue to resonate with a younger female demographic. Updated brand visuals and illustrative components were integrated to rejuvenate the page, captivate the audience, and modernize the brand, aligning it with the prevailing standards of clean beauty brands.

MOODBOARD AND CONCEPT

The design of the landing page needed to prioritize the user experience, providing generous space for prominent images and design features like icons, carousels, dropdown menus, and video tutorials. The selected photography, paired with step by step copy, would be instrumental in conveying the product's advantages to potential customers, ultimately driving sales.

WIREFRAMING

The design for both desktop and mobile was extensive, as Mine aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of everything related to the Bronze Babe. During the wireframing phase, it was vital to make each section clear and to the point. Moreover, the design had to be adaptable to mobile platforms, given that many customers would likely encounter the landing page and product through social media.

FINAL DESIGN AND END RESULT

The Bronze Babe Home Spray Tan Kit was already a best selling product for the brand. However, the refresh of the landing page for the product guided the user on a journey that informed them about the product by engaging the customer’s attention while educating them on the use of the product which ultimately increased sales.
